What to do for 4th of July in Larchmont, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Rye

Even if you don’t try too hard, you will find a 4th of July celebration in the area each day of the long weekend!

Mamaroneck:

Fireman’s Carnival at Harbor Island Park continues through July 5.
7 am –  4:30 pm Sunday and Monday July 2 and 3rd, and 6 pm on Tuesday July 4)
Parking and admission are free, pay for rides and games

Tuesday July 4th Summer Nights On The Sound – St. Thomas Orchestra at Harbor Island Park 7 pm.  The St. Thomas Orchestra will lead off the Summer Night On The Sound seasons performances with the Star Spangled Banner followed by a program for all ages on the great lawn of Harbor Island.

(Summer Nights On The Sound is presented by the Village’s Arts Council and will continue on Sunday evenings at Harbor Island on July 15, 23rd and 30th.)

Tuesday July 4th Fireworks at Harbor Island Park around 9:30 PM

Larchmont:

The Village of Larchmont will celebrate Independence Day with the traditional Fourth of July races  at Flint Park.

Fireworks: The concert in Manor Park begins at 7 p.m. Monday, July 4, and will feature the Dixie Dandies. Americana music and traditional favorites. fireworks at dusk. Picnicking not allowed. Manor Park, 99 Park Ave., villageoflarchmont.org.

New Rochelle’s Spark the Sound

Firework display, produced by Grucci Family of Fireworks, at the New Rochelle waterfront sponsored by New Rochelle Parks and Recreation starting at 9 p.m. Optimum viewing locations include Hudson Park and Five Islands Park. No rain date planned. Announcements: 914-654-2087 or newrochelleny.com.

Rye Playland:

July 3rd- Fireworks at Playland

Fireworks are accompanied by a musical score every Friday night during July and August. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. beginning on July 3. Parking and admission fees apply. Special holiday fireworks show accompanied by a patriotic musical score on the pier on July 3 and 4. No rain date planned. Rye Playland Amusement Park, 1 Playland Parkway, Rye. New Rochelle resident here and the fireworks display every year is the best! I like to go Davenport Park to see the fireworks. Not as crowded and the Long Island sound is beautiful. I can’t wait for next year. My kids love it too!
