Trinity Elementary Principal Announces Resignation in Robo-Call

How would you feel about getting a robo-call from the Principal at your kid’s school, announcing that they just resigned?

That’s what happened to Trinity Elementary parents in New Rochelle this week, says Talk of the Sound:

Trinity Elementary School Principal Rolando Briceño announced his resignation yesterday to staff at an afternoon meeting and to parents by way of robocall. At the time of his appointment in 2009, Briceño was only the second hispanic principal in the history of the New Rochelle public school system. Briceño was under fire from Trinity parents from the moment his appointment as principal was announced three years ago. He has had a rocky relationship with parents in the Trinity PTA which came to a head over the past few months.

A more complete explanation should also be given done by other method(s) but a robo-phone-call may be the fastest way to get the basic information to the largest number of parents “first-hand” given the alternative of the “rumor-mill”.
