The Westchester Review, the only literary journal of Westchester writers, is currently accepting submissions for its seventh annual issue. The editors welcome previously unpublished prose and poetry by established and emerging writers who have lived, studied, or worked in New York’s Westchester County. For submission guidelines, go to www.westchesterreview.com.
“There is a rich literary community within our county’s borders,” said founder and publisher JoAnn Duncan Terdiman. “We seek to publish the works of diverse and talented writers, and showcase them at readings in libraries, bookstores, and other venues throughout the region.”
This year The Westchester Review will sponsor its second annual Writers Under 30 contest for both fiction and poetry. The contest deadline is June 15. The winners will be published in the upcoming issue.
The Westchester Review editors are Stephanie Kaplan Cohen, Judith Naomi Fish, Lesleigh Forsyth, Joan Motyka, Amy Ralston Seife, and managing editor Naomi L. Lipman. Submissions are considered year-round. The 2013 issue is available at bookshops throughout the county and through Amazon.com.
