Storms, Flooding and More Rain for Larchmont and Mamaroneck Area

The woman above struggled to walk home from the train Monday night along Madison Avenue in Larchmont, where water two feet high and deafening claps of thunder were not uncommon.

A flash flood watch remained in effect through noon Tuesday in portions of Westchester, New York City, New Jersey and Southern Connecticut.

As much as 1 to 3 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts, fell across the area Monday, according to The Weather Channel Storm Radar.

More rain is forecast for later this afternoon.  Once the rain is gone, forecasters predict a nice stretch of weather with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s for the next six days.
