The STEM Alliance of Larchmont-Mamaroneck says thousands of children and adults attended the second annual “STEM-tastic Saturday” festival Saturday May 16th at Hommocks Middle School in Larchmont.
STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, is a network promoting these skills as a means of solving problems and fostering innovation.
The fair featured a NASA astronaut keynote speaker and hands-on exhibits and interactive experiences.
“These festivals inspire youth to seek careers in these cutting-edge fields where our economy is growing and innovators are needed,” said STEM Alliance President Margaret Käufer.
The STEM Alliance of Larchmont-Mamaroneck welcomes engagement from all community members. Visit www.lmstemalliance.org or contact info@lmstemalliance.org to join the planning and see post-event videos as well as information about future programming.
