Murray Avenue and Chatsworth Elementary Schools in Larchmont/Mamaroneck, Midland Elementary in Rye, Greenacres and Edgewood Schools in Scarsdale, three schools in Pelham, and Purchase School in Harrison are among those named by the State Education Department as Reward Schools for the 2014-15 school year.
The schools were chosen after considering the State’s new Common Core required math, English language arts and Regents tests.
According to LoHud, nearly one out of five school districts on the list were from Westchester, Rockland or Putnam.
There are 697 public school districts in the state that include some 4,817 schools educating about 2.68 million students.
Here are the Westchester districts and the specific schools named to the list:

BRIARCLIFF: Todd Elementary, Briarcliff Middle and Briarcliff High schools
BRONXVILLE: Bronxville Elementary
BYRAM HILLS: Crittenden Middle School
CHAPPAQUA: Seven Bridges Middle School and Robert Bell schools
CROTON-HARMON: Croton Harmon High School
EASTCHESTER: Greenvale Elementary, Eastchester High schools
EDGEMONT: Seely Place, Edgemont Junior-Senior High schools
HARRISON: Purchase School
HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON: Farragut Middle and Hastings High schools
IRVINGTON: Main Street and Irvington High schools
KATONAH-LEWISBORO: John Jay Middle, Katonah Elementary and Meadow Pond Elementary schools
LAKELAND: Thomas Jefferson Elementary, Lincoln Titus Elementary, Lakeland High and Walter Panas High schools
MAMARONECK: Chatsworth Avenue and Murray Avenue schools
