We’ve heard rumors about this situation over the years, but now the Westchester DA’ s office has charged the former GM of the Rye Golf Club with Grand Larceny.
Scott Yandrasevic, 49, of Danbury, Connecticut, was General Manager of the Club, which is owned by the City of Rye, from 2008 to 2012.
He is alleged to have stolen approximately $271,120.00 from the Club and the City of Rye by “knowingly submitting false invoices to the City of Rye for fictitious employees over this approximate four and a half year period.”
Says the complaint, “The defendant accomplished this larceny by setting up and effectively controlling a staffing company called RM Staffing for the purposes of billing the City of Rye for services provided to the Club. The defendant submitted false bi-weekly invoices on RM Staffing stationery listing individual(s) who were falsely described as working in “Administration,” “Restaurant” and/or “Operations” at the Club, when in fact no such person(s) worked for the Club.”
The invoices were paid out over 100 pay periods by the City, and, says the DA’s office, the monies were transferred to the Defendant.
Bail was set at $20,000 bond or $10,000 cash. The defendant’s next court date is December 17th, 2013. He faces a maximum sentence of fifteen years in state prison.
Monkey see monkey do. Let’s take a look at the great example outgoing Mayor Doug French set for his employee Mr. Yandrasevich. Disgraced Mayor Doug French cheated Rye school children out of thousands of dollars when he collected two STAR tax exemptions. How come French was never charged along side Yandrasevich?

Good-riddance to a long line of losers in Rye after the last election.
