Village of Mamaroneck

Menacing—On 5/19 two victims in their early 20s reported to police that they had a verbal altercation with two suspects in their mid-20s outsidethe Dunkin Donuts on E. Boston Post Rd. The dispute started over past “accusations” between the two groups, who were all reported to be acquaintances. One victim was punched in the head by one of the suspects and that same suspect later flashed a gun and threatened the victim. There were no reported incidents between these two groups in the past and a police investigation is pending.

Criminal Mischief Fourth Degree/Intentional—On 5/21 a concerned Echo Lane resident phoned police at around midnight to report that someone had taken the Echo Lane/N. Chatsworth Ave. street sign out of the ground. The street sign was soon recovered by police and no arrests were made, however there were reports of kids hanging around in the area at the time. No word yet as to the estimated cost of damages to town property by this act of vandalism.

Forgery in the First Degree—Somebody used a counterfeit $50 bill at the IHOP located at 1375 Boston Post Rd. in Larchmont on 5/22. The IHOP manager spotted the phony fifty via a counterfeit pen detector but nobody was apprehended at the scene. The total bill of sale for the forged purchase at the eatery was $89.78. A police investigation is ongoing.

The Village of Larchmont has not made available any cases since the last publication of our Blotter.
