 CRIME OF THE WEEK:  A 52-year-old woman from Mamaroneck Village and a 49-year-old man from North White Plains were charged for burglary and assault after breaking into an apartment on Halstead Avenue. The offenders entered the home and attacked both residents, breaking the leg of a 54- year-old male victim. Both suspects were known by the victims. Aug. 21

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK

ARREST: A 59 year-old homeless man was arrested for public exposure on Halstead Avenue. Aug. 17

LARCENY: A Jefferson Avenue resident reported that his car was broken into while parked in the driveway of his home. An estimated $600 worth of hunting equipment was stolen. Aug. 17

LARCENY: A hand held computer was reported stolen from a delivery truck. The truck was parked on Phillips Park Road and was left unoccupied. Aug. 17

ARREST: A 55-year-old man from White Plains was charged with possession of hydrocodone and disorderly conduct after screaming profanities in public. Aug. 18

ARREST: A 33-year-old man from West Harrison was charged with a DWI after committing a traffic infraction. Aug. 19

LARCENY: A 52-year-old man reported that his lottery card worth $500 was taken from him at a store on Mamaroneck Avenue. Aug. 20

LARCENY: An employee of a business on Mamaroneck Avenue reported that three men stole about $12,00 worth of hair products. The incident is still being investigated. Aug. 20

ROBBERY: A 64-year-old man from the town of Mamaroneck reported that while walking on Palmer Avenue two men approached him and took his backpack. The men then fled the scene in a car. Aug. 21

TOWN OF MAMARONECK

BURGLARY: Burglars stole a diamond ring and gold thread rug together worth $39,000 from a local residence. The suspects had fled the scene by the time police arrived. Aug 15

LARCENY: A Wood Street resident reported that her $1,600 Apple MacBook had been stolen. Aug. 16

RYE

LARCENY: A Milton Road resident reported that her purse was stolen from her car while parked on Purdy Street. The woman was parked in front of the post office and her bag was left on the passenger seat. Aug. 15

BURGLARY: The owner of Rye Decorators on Purchase Street reported that several items may have been taken from her store overnight. Her employees opened the store in the morning and found some missing merchandise. Aug. 18

LARCENY: An employee of Longford’s Ice Cream Shop on Elm Place reported her laptop stolen. The HP netbook was left on the front window countertop.  Aug. 21

SCARSDALE

LARCENY: A Paddington Road resident made a call-in complaint that his car had been broken into overnight and his I-Pod touch and $25 were stolen. The man stated that he left his car unlocked and did not activate his alarm. Aug. 18
