A Park Avenue resident reported on 5/12 that she has been receiving harassing telephone calls.
VEHICLE &TRAFFIC LAW ARREST
A White Plains man was arrested on 5/12 and charged with operating with a suspended license after he was observed operating his vehicle and committing a traffic infraction on Palmer Avenue. The operator was released on the issuance of an appearance ticket.

GRAND LARCENY
Five wheels and five tires were reported stolen from Mercedes Benz of Larchmont at 2500 Boston Post Road. Police said one car had all four wheels and tires taken and another car had the rear passenger-sidewheels and tires taken during overnight hours. The items are valued at $7,849.28. May 14
PETTY LARCENY
A CVS employee reported that a man stole dozens of packs of Wrigley and Trident gum. The employee said he watched the man fill a bag with the items and then attempt to leave. When he was stopped at the exit, he returned the gum and left. No arrests have been made. 1310 Boston Post Road. May 14
VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED WITH CHILD IN CAR
A 49-year-old Rye man was arrested for driving while intoxicated with his 4-month-old son in the back seat of his 2008 Ford Mustang. The driver was charged with aggravated DWI for having a passenger under the age of 16, DWI and speeding after police pulled him over on West Boston Post Road on May 15 at about 11 p.m. The boy’s mother was also a passenger in the car. The child was in a car seat.
Police said the car was pulled over because it was observed going at a high rate of speed. Upon approaching the car, police said they detected the smell of alcohol on his breath. Turner submitted to a chemical test and was found to be driving while intoxicated. Child Protective Services was notified of the incident. May 15

Two Motorola radios were taken from a fire chief’s car sometime overnight. The unlocked vehicle was parked on the street near his Raleigh Road residence. May 12

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK
A 4 year-old boy was struck by a vehicle on Halstead Avenue at about 1:45 p.m. The driver said she pulled into a driveway, parked her car and was getting something out of the back seat when the 2004 Lincoln Continental started to roll backwards. The child’s leg was pinned between the front passenger’s-side door and a stone wall. The child was taken to Westchester County medical Center to be treated for a large laceration on his leg. May 13
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Florence Street resident said that sometime between 1 and 2 p.m. somebody entered her apartment and turned all her pictures around so that the back of the picture frames were showing. May 14
AUTO ACCIDENT
Both drivers involved in an accident at the intersection of North Barry and Halstead avenues were taken to Sound Shore Medical Center complaining of neck, back and chest pain. At about 4:30 p.m., one of the cars was traveling west on Halstead Avenue, and the driver said he could not tell what color the light was. He tried to stop when he saw the second car driving into the intersection, but failed. After striking the car, the first vehicle struck a nearby building. May 14

A 69-year-old Yorktown man and a 37 year-old Yorktown man were arrested for harassment after entering a business on East Prospect Avenue at about 8 a.m. and complaining about the merchandise. May 14
ANIMAL COMPLAINT
A Forest Avenue resident reported that his 8 year-old son was injured by his neighbor’s dog at about 9 a.m.. The resident said the dog jumped on the child, causing a large abrasion to his foot. May 15

Police received a report of a possibly rabid raccoon and several people nearby at 205 Center Avenue at about 10:45 a.m. The trapper was notified. May 15

A 26 year-old Queens woman was arrested for driving with a suspended registration on Mamaroneck Avenue. The woman said she was led to believe that her boyfriend had taken care of the insurance and the expired inspection, but he had not. May 15
BOAT ACCIDENT
A boat was reported on the rocks on Long Island Sound at about 5 p.m. No injuries were reported and there was no reported damage to the vessel. May 15
HIT AND RUN
A woman said the bumper on her Cadillac Escalade was damaged while parked in a Fayette Avenue parking lot sometime between 10 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. May 15

A 53 year-old Bronx man was arrested for driving with a suspended registration on Fenimore Road. May 15

An employee at a Mamaroneck Avenue restaurant reported that her purse and all its contents were taken during her shift between 5:30 and 11 p.m. on May 15. Police found everything that the woman reported missing except for an undisclosed amount of cash. May 16
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Jensen Avenue resident reported a loud noise, possibly gun shots, at about 8 p.m. Police determined the noise to be fireworks. May 16
BICYCLIST STRUCK
A 22 year-old Mamaroneck man was struck by a car while riding his bike on Waverly Avenue at about 5 p.m. The man said the car, a black SUV, struck his front tire and caused him to fall. The bicyclist refused medical attention. May 17
ACCIDENT
A 61 year-old White Plains man was taken to Greenwich Hospital after he crashed his motorcycle at about 6:30 p.m. on West Boston Post Road. The man said a car in oncoming traffic turned in front of him, forcing him to stop short. As a result, he was thrown off his Yamaha and suffered cuts and bruises. May 17

A 63 year-old New Rochelle man was arrested for shoplifting from Stop & Shop. Police say the man put Corona beer, dairy items and health and beauty products into a plastic bag and left without paying. 2425 Palmer Avenue. May 15

A 34 year-old NJ man was arrested and charged with stealing $37 worth of candy from Costco. One Industrial Lane. May 16
ASSAULT
A 47 year-old man was arrested and charged with second degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. According to police, the suspect was found drunk and disorderly in the middle of the street drinking alcohol and when they tried to quiet him, he refused. As police went to arrest him, the suspect struggled and one police officer was injured when his ring finger was caught in the handcuffs. A group of three males arriving at the train station around 1:30 am, report being confronted by eight male teens who surrounded them and took their possessions. A 17 year-old New Rochelle resident says they took his I Pod, cell phone and $5 cash. A 16 year-old Ossining resident says the suspects took his cell phone and G Shock watch. The third victim is a 17 year-old Yonkers resident. There were no weapons and no injuries. 1 Station Plaza. May 15
MENACING
A 20 year-old New Rochelle woman employed at ShopRite reports that a store manager, a 39 year-old woman, threatened her with a large knife. The manager denied any incident. Police say the matter is under investigation. 8 Joyce Road. May 15
ASSAULT
Police responding to a report of gunshots, arrived on scene to discover a 26 year-old man being helped down the street by two women. An officer noticed the man was dripping blood down his leg, apparently from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was treated and admitted for non-life threatening injuries. The matter is under investigation. A 39 year-old Port Chester man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at about 11:15 p.m. on Midland Avenue after police said they saw him driving his Honda Civic with a defective headlight. May 11
ANIMAL COMPLAINT
Police killed a raccoon after receiving a complaint from a Loder Street resident. Police found the raccoon in a neighbor’s yard at about 6:30 p.m. and noted that it was visibly sick and "very aggressive." May 11

A Grace Church Street woman reported that her wallet was removed from her purse, the contents taken, and then put back in her purse while she was working at All Paws at 31 Purchase Street. The woman reported that her American Express card, a Bloomingdale’s card and a Chase debit card were missing. She said she received a voicemail when she returned home about fraudulent activity on her cards. May 13

A 19 year-old St. Louis, MO man was arrested on Soundview Avenue after police received a report of a solicitor just after 8:30 p.m. The man was found to have a warrant for his arrest for forgery in St. Louis. May 13
GRAND LARCENY
A representative at the Rye Racquet Club reported that she suspects an employee has been stealing portions of the club’s cash business
deposits. She estimated the losses to be $3,715. May 14
TRESPASSING
A 60 year-old Rye man was charged with criminal trespass after police received two calls complaining of a suspicious person claiming to be a census worker entering an Island Drive residence without permission. On May 14, the resident’s children told her that a white vehicle was parked in their driveway. When she entered her home, she found an unknown man in her kitchen. The man said he had questions to ask her regarding the census. The woman learned from her husband that he had completed the census, and asked the man to leave. The man returned the following day, and was placed under arrest. May 15

A Grandview Avenue woman reported that sometime between May 14 and May 16 her mailbox was taken from her yard. May 16

A Windcrest Road resident reported that her purse and all of its contents had been taken overnight from her parked car. The woman said she was missing $100 in cash, a Tory Burch purse ($450 value), a Burberry wallet ($240 value) and a pouch ($20 value). Police later found some of the missing items in a neighbor’s yard. May 17

Residents returned home to discover a safe, kept in a second floor office and requiring two persons to move, missing. The safe contained personal papers, jewelry, gold coins, a fountain pen collection and stock certificates. There was no sign of forced entry into the home.
