A Massachusetts woman reported that somebody sideswiped her parked car in the parking lot at Stop And Shop at 1326 Boston Post Road. May 8
A Larchmont man was arrested for assault in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly striking his 8 year-old son in the chest, causing redness and bruising. May 4

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST
A Mamaroneck Town man was arrested May 1 after he was involved in a motor vehicle/pedestrian accident. Police determined that the man was operating with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on the issuance of an appearance ticket.
DWI ARREST
A 19 year-old Mamaroneck Village woman was arrested during the early morning hours after colliding her vehicle into the rear of another vehicle on Boston Post Road and fleeing the scene. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and released on her own recognizance. May 2
VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST
A Chatsworth Avenue resident was arrested and charged with operating with a suspended license after she was observed committing a traffic infraction on Boston Post Rd. Thev ehicle was impounded and the operator released on $300 bail. May 5

A Harrison man reported on that someone threw paint on his vehicle as well as puncturing his tires, while it was parked on Railroad Way between 1 and 3 am. May 8

LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
Four tires and four rims were taken from two vehicles parked on Palmer Terrace overnight on May 2. Police said a third vehicle in the area had its lug nuts removed. May 3

Police said two vehicles parked in a Rockland Avenue driveway received what appeared to be key damage. May 3
EXPOSURE
A 54 year-old Mamaroneck man was arrested at about 10p.m. after police said they saw him urinating and defecating in the playground area of Columbus Park. He was charged with exposure, possessing an open container and being in the park after dark. May 3
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A woman reported that the side mirror on her car was shattered while parked on Jensen Avenue. May 3
STOLEN VEHICLE
A woman reported that her motorcycle was stolen from the Avalon Willow Apartment parking area overnight on May 3.
LARCENY
The rims and tires were reported stolen from a car being stored at 827 Mamaroneck Avenue. May 4
RESISTING ARREST
A 56 year-old man was arrested for possessing an open container and resisting arrest after police received reports of two people passed out in a Waverly Avenue yard just before 11 p.m. Police said they transported a 46 year-old woman to Sound Shore Medical Center because she was unable to communicate. After his arrest, the man requested medical attention and was taken to the hospital. Police said both people are homeless. May 4
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
A 19 year-old Yonkers man and a 17 year-old Mount Vernon boy were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana on Spruce Street. Police said they had three small marijuana cigarettes. May 5
ANIMAL COMPLAINT
Police received a report of baby ducks stuck in a sewer on Cortland Avenue at about 11 a.m. Police said the ducks were reunited with their mother. May 5
OPEN CONTAINER
A 63 year-old man was arrested for possessing an open container at about 7 p.m. Police said the man, who is homeless, was sitting on a park bench on Phillips Park Road with an open beer. May 6.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
Police received a report of damage to two vehicles parked in a North Barry Avenue driveway. Both cars had scratch marks on their sides. May 7
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
A 21 year-old Scarsdale woman was arrested on the 1000th block of Mamaroneck Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. after running into a utility pole. Police said the woman, who had three passengers in her car, was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. According to police, the woman agreed to take the chemical test, which she failed. One of the passengers in the car was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. May 8.
HIT AND RUN
A woman reported that an unknown vehicle hit her car while it was parked on Richbell Road. May 8
BOAT CAPSIZED
Police responded to a report of a capsized boat in Larchmont Harbor at about 3 p.m. Police said all the passengers were found and nobody was injured. May 8
ASSAULT
Police found a 37 year-old homeless man unconscious and bleeding from the mouth at about 6 p.m. in a parking area on Madison Street. The man told police he had been hit in the head with a baseball bat but didn’t want to identify his attacker or press charges. The man was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center after complaining of neck and head pain. May 8
FIGHT IN PROGRESS
Police received a report of a fight in progress at 808 Palmer Avenue at about 8 p.m. Police said a large group of youths were at the location, and one said he had been punched. No arrests were made and the case was forwarded to the youth detective. May 8
FIGHT IN PROGRESS
Two brothers from the Village of Mamaroneck were arrested in the early morning hours after police received a report of a fight in progress on Mamaroneck Avenue. One brother was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. The other was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Police responded to a report of a fight in progress at 211 Mamaroneck Avenue, and said they found the two brothers arguing with each other. Police said they were attempting to detain one man when the other hit the police officer in the back of the head, causing all three men to fall to the ground. The two brothers continued to struggle, police said, and were both tasered so that they could be taken into custody. Both men refused medical attention. May 9
PEDESTRIAN STRUCK
A pedestrian was hit by a car going west on the 1000th block of Boston Post Road at about 12:30 a.m. The driver said he saw the 41 year-old Mamaroneck Village man crossing the street, and even made eye contact with him. The driver said he slammed on his brakes but still slid into the man. The driver’s car was then struck from behind by another vehicle. The pedestrian said he was crossing the street to go home after consuming about six beers. He was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center with lacerations and bruises. May 9

LARCENY
A resident reported a bicycle stolen from the in front of Rye Beach Pharmacy. The bike was yellow with training wheels. May 5
LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
A Brown Avenue woman reported that sometime after dark each night between May 3 and May 5, the wheel caps from her Toyota and her husband’s Nissan were taken while the cars were parked in their driveway. May 6
DRUG ARREST
A 49 year-old Harrison man was arrested on two drug charges after police pulled him over for having tinted windows. Police said they saw the man driving his 2008 red Mitsubishi on Thruway Access Drive at about 1 p.m. and noticed that his windows were not transparent. Police said the man told them he had a suspended license. As police were placing the man under arrest, they allegedly found crack cocaine wrapped in a napkin in the man’s pocket. Police said they also found a glass stem containing crack cocaine residue. When they searched the car, police said they found five more glass stems with residue. Police charged the man with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, one count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an equipment violation for the nontransparent windows. A 20 year-old Carpentersville, Ill., man was arrested after police received a complaint from a Midland Avenue resident that a solicitor wouldn’t leave the property. Police said the man
had moved on to a different Midland Avenue home and ignored police orders to leave the premises. He was arrested for trespassing and ignoring police orders. May 6
HARASSMENT
A 52 year-old Rye man reported being hit by a book while walking down Boston Post Road in the afternoon. The man said the book, a Rye High School Directory, struck him in the forearm after it was thrown out of a black SUV carrying two youths. May 9

The 19th North end burglary, after a month-long lull, occurred at 100 Amherst Drive. Police say it fit the profile of the other incidents – a rear break-in with missing jewelry – and is under investigation. May 4
