SCARSDALE
BURGLARY
Police were alerted to a sounding burglar alarm the evening of March 6 at a residence on Brookby Road. It appeared that entry had been made into the house via a garage window; a door in the garage, leading to the house also was open. The master bedroom was ransacked and jewelry boxes were overturned. The only item reported missing was a pillowcase. Police are investigating.
BURGLARY ATTEMPT
A Springdale Road resident returned home on March 2nd to find that someone had removed the screen and broken her kitchen window in an attempt to enter the home. There was a boot mark on the front door as well and foot prints in the dirt. The home did not appear to have been entered and nothing was missing.

A Palmer Avenue resident returned home to find his rear kitchen door ajar with broken glass near it. The interior of the home appeared to be heavily ransacked and several items were missing including cash, personal papers, a laptop computer and a pillowcase, which apparently was used to remove the items. Police are investigating. March 4
LARCENY
A resident of Elm Road reported his GPS was stolen from his unlocked 2008 Honda, while it was parked in his driveway. He estimates that the theft occurred sometime between March 3rd and March 6th.
LARCENY
A woman working as a cashier at an estate sale on 43 Paddington Road, reported her handbag missing. The bag was on the floor near her feet; she walked away for a few minutes and, when she returned, the bag was gone. There were about 100 people present at the sale. Her bag contained a checkbook, wallet, and $10,000 in cash. March 6
LARCENY
A woman reported her purse missing. She was at the Church of Latter Day Saints on Wayside Lane, and had left her bag in one of the church meeting rooms around 2:00 PM. When she returned,at 4:00 PM, her bag was missing. There were about 200-300 people in the building. March 7
ASSISTANCE RENDERED
Due to a well-publicized missing person case involving Dr. Mona Shimshi, who was later found dead, members of the press were asked to leave the property of Michael Greenberg, the missing doctor’s husband. New York City police were there to notify the family about Dr. Shimshi. Carthage Road. March 3
VILLAGE CODE COMPLAINT
Two Sears salespeople were soliciting door to door on Greenacres Avenue. The men were reminded of the Village Code regarding solicitations; both men
were not aware that they had crossed the White Plains border (where they had a permit to solicit). March 5
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A bearded male was reportedly urinating publicly on Carthage Road, between Wakefield and Ardmore. Police were unable to locate the culprit. March 5
ASSISTANCE RENDERED
A suspicious man was reported to have entered Sam Lehr Designer Jewelry on Harwood Court. He examined a case containing diamond rings and told someone on his cellphone "they have them." He left the store when asked if he needed assistance. Soon thereafter, the man was spotted driving slowly past the store in a black Nissan Maxima, while looking in. Police were not able to locate the man. March 6

HARASSMENT-2ND DEGREE
Two people were arrested and charged with harassment for making verbal threats to a female at the CVS on 1310 Boston Post Road. March 3
ACCIDENT
A 35 year-old Larchmont resident lost control of her 2009 Honda, sliding across the northbound lane of traffic into the woods. The vehicle struck a stone wall on the side of the road. She was taken to White Plains Hospital with unknown injuries. Magnetti Circle. March 4
OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE
After fielding a report of a dispute in Mamaroneck Village, officers stopped a 44 year-old New Rochelle man driving a 2007 Chrysler and charged him with DWI. He refused the Datamaster test. Myrtle Blvd. March 5
ASSAULT-3RD DEGREE
An altercation at the Nautilus Diner on Boston Post Road led to a 15-year old male suffering minor lacerations and a front vehicle windshield being smashed. An 18 year-old male was charged with assault and criminal mischief in the 3rd degree. March 6
LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
A Brookside resident reports directly to theLoop that her car window was broken in the overnight hours and her purse taken. The suspect(s) apparently took the cash from the handbag and threw the handbag somewhere in the street, where it was found and turned in to Town police, who returned it to the owner.

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK
ACCIDENT-PEDESTRIAN
A 61-year old woman claimed she was struck in the knee while crossing Palmer Avenue. The alleged perpetrator, a 41-year old woman driving a 2008 GMC, said that she wasn’t aware she hit the woman, but was alerted to the situation by the woman’s screams. She went back, but denied hitting the woman and thinks she fell down. March 5
LARCENY
A student at Mamaroneck High School on Palmer Avenue reported his iPod stolen. He hung up his jacket in the gym, with the iPod in the pocket, and when he returned, the iPod was gone. March 5
ACCIDENT-PEDESTRIAN
While driving down Mamaroneck Avenue, a 76 year-old man in a 2006 Toyota struck a 57 year-old man exiting a vehicle. The man driving the Toyota claims the other man stepped into traffic. The victim was taken to White Plains Hospital with minor injuries. March 6
DWI
Officers on patrol noticed a vehicle obstructing traffic. The driver appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested and administered a Datamaster test; he was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released on $250 bail and will return to court on March 11. March 7
DISPUTE
Two 25 year-old females were engaged in a verbal argument and pushing match in the restroom at Molly Spillane’s on Mamaroneck Avenue. The women were friends and no charges were pressed. March 7

A Bronx woman was arrested and charged with operating with a suspended license after she was observed operating her vehicle and committing a traffic infraction on Larchmont Avenue. She was released on the issuance of an appearance ticket. February 27

A 28-year old New Rochelle man was arrested after he was observed operating his vehicle and committing a traffic infraction on Larchmont Avenue. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $80 bail. February 28

ASSAULT
A 54 year old man, believed by police to be under the influence of drugs, was arrested for randomly punching someone at the New Rochelle train station at approximately 9pm. One Station Plaza. March 4
DWI ARREST
A 33 year-old Larchmont man was arrested and charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. < span style="font-size: medium" class="Apple-style-span">Lincoln Avenue and DeWitt Place. March 7
OFFICER SUSPENDED
A 30 year-old New Rochelle police officer was suspended without pay after being arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of the accident. Early in the morning of March 2d, the officer was driving a 2004 Cadillac SUV and stopped the vehicle facing the wrong direction on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Pelham. The Cadillac, registered to a relative of the officer, was struck by a 2010 Chevrolet heading northbound. The officer allegedly ran off and was arrested in New Rochelle about one hour later.

DRUGS
Police responded to a report of someone training two pitbulls off-leash and smoking marijuana in Feeney Park. The suspect ran off when police arrived. Washington Avenue and 7th Street. March 7
