Pelham Manor Car Thief Pleads Guilty

David Piparo

A Bronx man today plead guilty to stealing a woman’s car at gunpoint in Pelham Manor last November.

David Piparo, 48, faces a sentence of 8 1/3 to 25 years in prison when sentenced on November 17, according to the Westchester County District Attorney’s office.

The robbery occurred about 8:45 p.m. on Nov. 24 near the CVS Pharmacy located at 4760 Boston Post Road when Piparo approached a woman inside her 2001 BMW vehicle and displayed a gun.

Pointing the gun at the woman, he ordered the woman to get out of the car and drove it away. The car was subsequently found nearby.

Piparo also faces federal charges related to three additional armed robberies, one of which occurred at Tes Oros Jewelry Store in Pelham Manor, also in November, and two others in the Bronx.
