Maura McCosker (right)Â and Lisa Silva had a lot in common. Both women own or manage small businesses in New Rochelle, about a block apart. Maura at Modern Paint and Hardware and Lisa at Modern Sun Tanning.
And twice, they’ve walked together for 60 miles at the Susan G. Komen 3 Day annual walk to raise money to cure breast cancer. This year they will do it again, in October, when the event is held in Tampa.
And instead of donating cash you can enter to win some great prizes from New Rochelle’s amazing local businesses, such as dining at Posto 22, Modern Restaurant, La Herradura, Ciao and R. Patisserie. There are wellness, beauty, kids, sports, and home goods related prizes as well.
