LoHud reports that New Rochelle blogger Bob Cox, who publishes the Talk of the Sound site, was arrested after smashing a BMW with a baseball bat outside his home. The incident reportedly occurred very early Sunday morning.

The report says, “Two women and two men were walking on Mount Joy Place when Cox began yelling at them from a window in his home around 1:45 a.m., police said.

Cox, who regularly blogs about New Rochelle and has run for school board, eventually came outside in his underwear and twice struck the driver’s side of the 2014 BMW sedan, which belongs to a 21-year-old Yorktown woman, police said.”

Cox’s lawyer says Cox was assaulted by several Iona students when he tried to stop them from urinating on a parked car.

The 51-year-old Cox is charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief .
