Missing Doctor Found Dead

A missing Scarsdale doctor was found dead today in the Bronx after her husband reportedly told cops Sunday he thought she was dead.

The New York Post has reported endocrinologist and mother of two Mona Shimshi Greenberg, 55, was depressed. Greenberg was a member of the Westchester Jewish Center in Mamaroneck.

Her husband, Dr. Mark Greenberg, 61, reportedly received a one-word text message from the cellphone of his wife Sunday, that said simply,"Goodbye."

Greenberg called the cops after his wife — who has been under psychiatric care — failed to return home by 6 p.m. Police tracked her cellphone, and at 9:35 a.m. yesterday, found her 2008, gray Honda CRV parked on the side of a desolate road leading to the NYPD shooting range at Rodman’s Neck in The Bronx.

Strangely, the doctor also called his lawyer, the New York Daily News reported.

Scarsdale Police Lieutenant B. Clarke tells theLoop this is still a missing-persons case.

He said that the husband had been very cooperative during the investigation and he did not know why the husband hired a lawyer.
