Mark Antony Romani (1933-2011)

Mark Antony Romani “Bro”, of Mamaroneck passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2011. He was surrounded by his family. He was 77 years old. He was born March 18, 1933 in Mamaroneck to Marco and Anna Romani. Loving and devoted husband of 55 years to Irene (Aniello), loving father of Nanci (Paul) Borde`, and Julie (Brian) Beni. Dear brother of Joanne (Jack) Ryan, predeceased by siblings, Frances Mansfield, Raymond Romani, Roseanne Cicchiello, Joseph Romani, Matilde Marzoli and Edmund Romani. Devoted grandfather of PJ, Jack, and Katie Borde` and Lucas and Annabelle Beni.

Mark is a retired lieutenant of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department. He served his country in the US Navy 1951-1955 on various ships on the Admirals staff. He was an honorary member of the Halstead manor Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion Post #90, the VFW #3047, and was a life member (50 years) of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. Mark worked as a mason and contractor locally throughout his life. He graduated from F.E. Bellows High School in 1951 and was a proud graduated of The John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Mark leaves behind beloved sister-in-laws; Angela Baker, Elizabeth Romani, Christine Romani and dear friend Angela Kaufman along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, childhood and longtime friends, and fellow police officers. Visitation Sunday EVENING 7-9pm and Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10am St. Gregory the Great Church followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
