Mamaroneck Restaurant Accused of Wage Violation

The Westchester Labor Alliance is a group currently fighting wage theft from workers in the community.

It will be holding a demonstration at Mamaroneck’s Bar Harbor Grill on Boston Post Road which it alleges withheld wages from an employee.

The group filed complaint Figueroa v. Bar Harbor Grill was filed on December 24th “on behalf of workers for failure to pay minimum wage, failure to pay overtime and various other violations to the federal and state labor laws. This is not the first time that Bar Harbor Grill has faced complaints of non-payment from its workers. As reported by local media during renovation of the restaurant in 2012 several construction workers accused Bar Harbor for non-payment for their labor,” say organizers.
