Mamaroneck Liquor Store Clerk Busted for Sale to Teens

A Mamaroneck Avenue bodega popular with suburban teens has been busted for allegedly selling beer to underage customers.  And it’s not the first time.

Mamaroneck Village cops arrested the 34 year-old night clerk at the Mamaroneck Variety store near Columbus Park July 5th after a carload of local of 16 and 17-year-old teens left the store with the forbidden beverages in the back seat at about 10:30 pm.

The charges are “Unlawful Dealing with a Child,” and “selling alcohol to a minor.”  Village Police tell us this is only the latest in a series of incidents involving the store and beer sales to minors.  The matter has been referred to the New York State Liqour Authority for further investigation.

This store was busted for the same thing a few years back. An order of protection was issued to protect the child who identified the clerk. The parents of the child were not notified by the village that an order of protection had been issued! The Village hands it off to the State Liquor Authority and … nothing happens. Maybe they get a fine. Its simple, just pull their liquor license. That would solve the problem.
