The Mamaroneck Tigers continue to show their dominance in Class A varsity lacrosse, with a sound and dominating defeat of Suffern 15-4.
Mamaroneck was dominating from the start as, Suffern showed fear and Mamaroneck pouncedon them from the get go. It was an easy afternoon for Mamaroneck goaltender Jack Dente, as he stopped six of the ten shots fired his way, shutting them out in the second and fourth quarters.
Mamaroneck scored in every quarter of the game. The offensive onslaught was led by Chris Conley, as he scored four times, as well as having two assists, giving him six points on the afternoon. Eric Greenberg also had six points, but he had two goals and four big assists. Charlie Harris also chipped in with three goals. In all, every member of the team that got to play scored at least one goal.
During this five game winning streak, Mamaroneck has scored a whopping 87 goals, which shows you they are one of the teams to beat when the playoffs begin. They are obvious favorites. They improve to 18-13. Their losses could be perceived as deceiving as they have had one of Section I’s toughest schedules.
Mamaroneck plays the incredible 25-2 Harrison Huskies on May 7 as the last full week of regular season wraps up.
