Mamaroneck Field Hockey Going to SemiFinals

mamk field hockey 2015

Mamaroneck Girls Field Hockey defeated Maine Endwell, 4-2, to return to the States for the second straight year.

Lizzie Clarke and Emily Mahland scored in the first half to mount a 2-0 halftime lead. Clarke scored again early in the second half to make it 3-0. However, Maine Endwell would make it a game, scoring two quick goals in a span of 4 minutes and 26 seconds to cut the lead to 3-2.

In the final minute, though, Clarke would find the back of the net – her third goal of the game – to seal the Tigers trip to Binghamton next weekend.

Mamaroneck will play in the State Semifinals next Saturday at Maine Endwell High School, and if they win, will advance to the State Finals, which will be played on Sunday. Mamaroneck won the Class A State Championship last year.
