Mamaroneck Boys Lacrosse Wins First Regional

It is one for the books! History is made as the Mamaroneck High School Boys Lacrosse team wins its first Regional Boys Championship title beating Kingston High School 10-4.

The Tigers, led by Coach Jeff Barnard, now head to the state semifinals where they will face Massapequa this Wednesday, June 5. Massapequa advanced after defeating defending state champs Ward Melville.

Mamaroneck dominated the game leading 6-1 by the end of the first quarter. By halftime they felt the buzz of history in the making when the score reached 8-3. Sophomore student, Grant Malas, was named Player of the Game by Lohud.com for consistently “showing up in the right spot at the right time, scoring three times in the first quarter run”.

Wednesday’s game takes place at the University of Albany, 4pm.
