Lots of local to love in Saturday’s New York Times piece about tearooms and baked goods like pastries and waffles and scones.
The reporter writes, ” Scouting four local spots on the brink of Valentine’s Day, I narrowed the field of eligible hot drinks and, not able to resist a little matchmaking, ordered attractive sweets and savories to go with them…”
There you’ll see Bread and Cocoa, A Proper Cup (both in Larchmont) and R Patisserie in New Rochelle. Delish.
There is also Didier Dumas Patisserie in Nyack, which sounds great.
And in LoHud, a Mamaroneck resident bemoans drivers that ignore stop signs in her Village. Maybe they’re in a hurry to get hot chocolate.
