GRAND LARCENY ATTEMPT

Employees of the Wells Fargo branch on Boston Post Rd reported on 3/18 that an individual attempted to cash a fraudulent check drawn in the amount of $4800.

PENAL LAW ARREST

A Mount Vernon man was arrested on 3/20 after he entered Foley’s Hardware on Boston Post Rd., placed merchandise in a bag and exited the establishment without paying.  Gregory McLAINE, 56, was charged with Petit Larceny, arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $2500 bail.

 

 

Town of Mamaroneck

3/22/13, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree
On Hommocks Road an unattended vehicle had a side window damaged along with a broken side light between 10am February 16th and 1pm February 25th. The case is still under investigation.

3/24/13, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree
Two window panes were damaged on an unattended vehicle on February 23rd between 11pm and 11:30pm on 714 Forest Avenue. The case is still under investigation.

3/25/13, Theft of Services/Transportation
A Blue Bird cab driver reported that a customer refused to pay for a fare: The taxi driver picked up the customer at 1 Dillion Road and transported him to an area of the Bronx (Gun Hill Road and Bronxwood), then transported the customer back to 1 Dillion Road where the customer refused to pay for the fare and ran into the building. The fare was approximately $50.  The case is still under investigation.

 

Village of Mamaroneck

3/21/13, Fraud/Forgery (Green Meadow Lane)

Complainant reports two credit card accounts were opened in his name without permission. A total of $17,000 in charges was accrued; the incident is still being investigated by the complainant’s bank.

3/24/13, Criminal Mischief

Complainant reports unknown person caused damage (broken driver’s side window and damaged two doors) while vehicle was parked and unoccupied on street located on Center Avenue. The vehicle was a 2014 Isuzu and the approximate value of damages is $1500. The case is still under investigation.
