An international group of street artists painted murals honoring local history on several buildings in Larchmont over the last week or so.
The murals were inaugurated Sunday with a ceremony at the Larchmont train station. Visitors then followed the course on an Art Walk to view the murals and meet the artists.
The project was inspired by Judith Doolin Spikes’ book “Larchmont, NY: People and Places,” according to Street Art for Mankind (SAM) co-founders and Larchmont residents Audrey and Thibault Decker.
