From State Sen. George Latimer:
Members of eight local Chambers of Commerce met recently in Larchmont at the 2016 Chamber of Commerce Summit, sponsored and organized by State Senator George Latimer (D-Westchester).
Meeting at the Weaver Street Firehouse, Latimer said the goal of the Chamber Summit was to “share ideas in recognition of the good work businesses in our communities are doing.”
A Larchmont businessman, Travis Sluss, was keynote speaker. Travis created “MacInspires”, located in Larchmont and Greenwich. MacInspires is a technology business that helps people get more personalized and better results from their Apple™ products, as well as maintenance and repair for those products.
“Travis Sluss is an example of what our communities need to support and attract. He is a local entrepreneur, who went to SUNY Purchase, and stayed here working to grow a new and dynamic business,” Senator Latimer concluded.
Latimer, who spent more than 20 years as a marketing executive, called this year’s Chamber Summit a major success. “The networking and sharing of ideas is a tremendous opportunity to learn from the efforts of others and to work together. We talk about everything from joint projects and regional marketing to legislative actions in the past sessions and helping me set priorities for the next one,” Latimer said.
Chambers represented included Yonkers, Armonk, Harrison, Mamaroneck, Rye, Port Chester-Rye Brook, Bronxville and New Rochelle.
