LoHud reports Plates Restaurant in Larchmont is up for sale.
The eatery has been at the location of a former (rumored) train station master’s house, and later the restaurant Carl’s, for 14 years. Plates is still open, and its catering business will reportedly continue on after the sale.
Le Provençal Bistro in Mamaroneck was recently sold to new owners, Adrian Celmata, the owner of Rela Café in Port Chester. The 22-year-old French restaurant was owned by Derrick Dikkers and his wife, Mieke plan to return to The Netherlands.
Recently opened in Mamaroneck are Sofia’s Italian Bistro at the former home of Lum Yen, the corner of Boston Post Road and Mamaroneck Avenue; Sweet Charlie’s Thai-rolled ice cream at 362 Mamaroneck Ave., (and locations nationwide); Moonlight on the Avenue at 308 Mamaroneck Ave. and Donjito will soon open at 122 Mamaroneck Avenue.
La Riserva closed last month, but you can always visit the family at Trattoria Vivolo
on Halstead Avenue in Harrison.
