Jasper: Happy but Homeless

Back in the day, Jasper would have been considered a good old-fashioned mix. But in this age of designer “hybrid” dogs, Jasper, a Boggle (yes, you read that right),is considered a well-bred sort, right up there with all those doodles, poos and puggles out there.

The offspring of a beagle and a Boston terrier, Jasper offers the best of both breeds: he’s playful, a bit on the silly side, and would make an ideal family pet.

Despite his well-planned lineage and his happy demeanor, though, Jasper is missing what every dog wants most: a home of his own. He is currently under the good care of the New Rochelle Humane Society, where he is anxiously awaiting someone to adopt him. All it takes is a good heart, a good home and $140 to cover the costs of Jasper’s neutering, vaccines, heartworm test, micro-chip, Collar, ID tags, starter bag of food and training classes.

The New Rochelle Humane Society, located at 70 Portman Road in New Rochelle, is open seven days a week. For more information call  914.632.2925 or visit its website.
