Most of us probably don’t know about the Women’s Enterprise Development Center.

If you’re entrepreneurial, they’ll teach skills, tools and resources needed to start and expand a businesses. The cost is low and the training is good.

WEDC has a 15-week entrepreneurial training program– and look who’s graduated:

Chocolations in Mamaroneck.   Owner Maria Valente creates everything from fudge to sea salt caramels right on the premises.

Anjolie Ayurveda products not only smell good, they are good – they’re manufactured in a woman-owned facility in India where the owner and her employees educate their children on what they earn working for Anjolie. The products are imported by the Hastings-on-Hudson mother/daughter team of Cary and Meryl Gabeler and were featured in the April 2012 issue of O, the Oprah Magazine.

Elizabeth de Almeida of Lizjul Doll Designings in Larchmont has created “African Inspired,” “Beaded,” “Bellydance” and “Custom Designed” dolls.
