Two Con Ed workers were injured after an explosion that shook a Mamaroneck neighborhood about 2:00pm Thursday.
They were repairing a gas main in front of 615 Claflin Avenue, reports The Journal News
Fire Chief Dean DeLitta said the men suffered some burns and were taken to Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle.
Con Edison workers were on the scene, shutting off gas at nearby homes. Officials said some will be without gas for several hours.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
