Fathers Forum Forming for Larchmont, Mamaroneck

Moran family fathers group
Westchester Fathers’ Forum chair,  Phil Moran, of Larchmont with his twins Emily and Kyle

Submitted by Jill Simpson:

Fathers’ Forum is a new group founded by local Westchester dads, following in the footsteps of a similar group in Greenwich, CT, which is dedicated to helping fathers improve relationships with their children.

Monthly meetings each feature a different timely topic and speaker, followed by a Q & A and informal discussion.

Topics range from sports parenting to cyberbullying to peer relationships. The next Fathers’ Forum meeting will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7th from 8 – 9:30 am on “Helping Our Kids Cope With Stress,” with Dr. Dan Brenner, clinical psychologist and Superintendent of Darien Schools; and Dr. Hilary Weiss Cooper, clinical psychologist.

Meetings are generally held on the first Saturday of each month in the Tigers Den at Mamaroneck High School (Room S166, first floor, to the left of the main entrance on Boston Post Road).

For more details: www.fathersforumwestchester.com. Meetings are recommended for fathers of school-age children and are free and open to all. Fathers’ Forum is sponsored by Larchmont Mamaroneck RADAR.

I am so fortunate to know Phil Moran and the whole Moran family.. Phil is an exemplary individual in all aspects, I have the upmost respect for him. It is not surprising that he would chair such a special organization such as this, and help those to be “even better than they are..” He’s a wonderful role model, amd his family reflectes that. Congratulations Phil. Many speak but few truly take the time to “do” and make a difference! I am proud and honored to know you! How great! Eileen
