Historian David Osborn will explore the rise and fall of the “noble experiment” – the effort from 1920-1933 to ban alcoholic beverages in the United States. The lecture is In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 18th Amendment to the Constitution. David Osborn is the historian at the St. Paul’s Church National Historic Site in Mount Vernon, NY.
