There are a growing number of entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers in Westchester looking to escape a home office for a well appointed, more collaborative work environment. And with a new Coworking venture in New Rochelle, it’s happening now.
“Co-working is a new trend that’s already swept through the major cities of the United States,” says Steve Rosenthal, President of CoWork Westchester. “Coworking is part social and part office space, an environment where ideas can be hatched, connections can be made, projects can take flight, and community can be developed.”
It offers all the support of a traditional office environment, with a lot more freedom.
Already there are hundreds of coworking facilities in major cities, including WeWork and The Productive in New York City. This is New Rochelle’s second coworking space, joining Ground Floor Coworking at 547 North Avenue.
Rosenthal calls CoWork Westchester a “fabulous, open ad agency type space,” a short walk from the New Rochelle train station.
The grand opening of the 11,000 s.f. space is scheduled for June 1st but is open for business now at half-price as a pre-launch promotion.
