The Bronx River-Sound Shore Audubon Society continues its free youth birding program for the 2013-2014 season on September 21 with a field trip to the Marshlands Conservancy in Rye.
Designed for children in 2nd through 7th grades, the Young Birders Field Trips program lets kids share their interest in birds with others of the same age. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Groups meet once a month usually on a Saturday starting at 9 AM at various outdoor locations across Westchester, including the Marshlands, Crestwood Lake, Read Wildlife Sanctuary, Twin Lakes Park, and Kensico Cemetary.
