Coming Up: Turkey Trot and Food Drive- Nov. 20

The Village of Mamaroneck is hosting its 50th Annual Turkey Trot on Sunday, Nov. 20, and along with it, a Thanksgiving Food Drive for needy families.

First, details of the race:

Race location: Harbor Island Park


Gobbler Race (1 mile) 9:45 am

Turkey Trot 5K (3.1 mile) 10:15 am

Registration Categories

Turkey Trot 5K (3.1 mile): All Ages

Gobbler Race (1 Mile): 12 years of age and younger

Turkey Trot:

Race Day Registration $40

Gobbler Race:

Race Day Registration – $20

Awards ceremony and hot turkey soup immediately after the race in the Pavilion.

This year, the Village is coordinating an effort with the Larchmont/Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force to collect food .

The Village will provide a collection location inside the Harbor Island Pavilion near the Registration Tables, with a contribution deadline of Race Day, November 20.

Turkey Trot Food Drive Suggestions (no glass containers)

Non-perishable foods only — Dry or Canned

Beans (canned or dry)

Bread or Muffin Mixes

Canned Tuna

Canned Fruit

or Vegetables

Cereal — Hot or Cold

Cranberry Sauce — Canned

Gravy (canned or mix – NO GLASS)

Instant Mashed Potatoes

Juice — 100%, No Sugar Added Preferred

Mac ‘n Cheese in boxes

Pasta or Rice

Peanut Butter



Turkey Seasonings

Vegetable Oil (small plastic container)
