theLoop is a proud sponsor of The Southern Westchester Food and Wine Festival, coming to Scarsdale September 22. The Festival will feature a tasting village showcasing samples of signature dishes “from the best restaurants, caterers and bakers in Southern Westchester along with a variety of other entertainment,” according to organizer Rich Baumer.
“We tried to create something fun to bring the whole family together to enjoy the amazing food & wine choices available right here in the Hudson Valley, while supporting our local community and great charitable organizations” said Baumer.
Featured restaurants will include Zuppa, Chat, Serafina, Lusardi’s, Fig & Olive, Savona, Benjamin’s Steak House, The Willet House, wine from Zachy’s and craft brewed beers from Captain Lawrence Brewing Co.
There will be cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs (including include Chef David Burke, Rafael Palomino, David Dibari, Nisa Lee, Ken Arnone, Missy Chase Lapine) live music by The B Street Band, a kid’s zone with healthy snacks and activities, product displays, book signings and more.
Admission to the festival is free; tickets are being sold for food samplings. The streets in Scarsdale Village will be fully tented, curb to curb, so all activities will go on as scheduled, rain or shine.
