Coming Up: Sheldrake’s August Mini Camp

Exploring Nature at Sheldrake Environmental Center
Exploring Nature at Sheldrake Environmental Center

This summer Sheldrake Environmental Center is offering a special new program– August Mini Camp. It fills this less-than-convenient gap between the end of most summer camps and the beginning of the school year.

Parents can take advantage of August Mini Camp for their 3- to 5-year olds, weekdays — starting August 11 to the 22. Sessions begin at 9:30 AM and end at 12:30 PM. You can have your children participate for one or both weeks. Rollinglogs

At the 60-acre Larchmont Reservoir Conservancy, children will have fun with science and nature and come away amazed by their discoveries as they explore the meadow, pond and forest, and learn about turtles, bugs, flowers, trees and everything else they find around the trails.

Happy parents… Happy kids… No more awkward break… A new generation learning to appreciate and love nature… It’s the perfect end to summer and a win-win situation for everyone!

Sheldrake Environmental Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire environmental awareness and action in the community, and to preserve, protect and enhance local environmental resources. The center is located at 685 Weaver Street in Larchmont, NY. More information on Sheldrake and its programs can be obtained by visiting, or by contacting Amy at (914)834-1443 or at
