The North Avenue Mile and Health and Fitness Expo will take place this Sunday, June 9th from 9am to 11am.
The event benefits and celebrates New Rochelle’s 325th Anniversary. The mile race down North Avenue is open to walkers, first time runners, strollers, kids, weekend warriors and serious runners alike.
The Health & Fitness Expo, which is free and open to everyone, will be held near the finish line at City Hall on Hamilton Avenue intersection with North Avenue. Come visit and speak with health and fitness related professionals from the surrounding community.
Register on-line ; registration closes at noon on Thursday June 6th. Race day registration, commencing at 8am is available at Paine Avenue and North Avenue near the starting line. Event information at www.northavenuemile.com .
The fee is $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 18-and-younger. Awards will be presented to top runners in each age category.
