Coming Up: Mamaroneck Hearing on Molly Spillane’s and Noise

Residents of Mamaroneck Village are gearing up for another fight with Molly Spillane’s over noise complaints.

In 2014, the Village Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) imposed noise restrictions after many years of complains about quality of life in the neighborhoods bordering Mamaroneck Avenue at Prospect St., where the 3-story bar and restaurant operates. The ZBA is now considering Spillane’s owner Mike Hynes’ request to lift the restrictions.

Resident Kate Priest writes, “Many neighborhood residents are gathering yet again to protest Hynes’ attempt to have all the noise restrictions imposed by the (ZBA) in 2014 after 5 years of  complaints about noise and disturbance by residents in this clearly mixed use area.”

The public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Oct 1 at 7:30pm at the Village Hall, 169 Mt. Pleasant Ave.
