Fall nature walk in Mamaroneck’s Otter Creek Preserve.
Join a family walk co-sponsored by the Village of Mamaroneck Tree Committee and the Westchester Land Trust.
When: Sunday, October 18 @ 3:00PM
Where: Meet on Taylors Lane, Rye Neck, at the entrance to the Otter Creek Preserve
Guide: Tate Bushell, Director of Stewardship and ecologist at the Westchester Land Trust
Tate will help identify 12- 15 tree species growing at the Preserve. He will focus on the specific ecological settings in which the individual tree species grow and show us signs that these settings are changing at the Preserve.
We will walk the full length of the preserve’s loop trail. Tate will also talk about the Otter Creek Preserve’s forest, its natural history and importance to our community.
No registration or fee is required.
