Misuse of prescription and over-the-counter medications is a leading contributor to addiction and death among young people,” Susan Ohanesian, deputy director of Mental Health & Substance Use Services for The Guidance Center of Westchester, said in a statement. “Safely disposing of unused and expired medications is the first step in keeping them out of the hands of young people.”

It is also safer for the environment than flushing or throwing in the garbage.

The Larchmont Police and The Guidance Center of Westchester will host. Larchmont Village Hall is at 120 Larchmont Ave.
