Larchmont’s Mary Lee Berridge will be honored by At Home on the Sound at its second annual Spring Gala Benefit on Thursday, May 2nd at the Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck.
Berridge, a Larchmont resident and retired social worker, has been active in the Sound Shore community for over 40 years working on issues including human rights, housing, the needs of seniors, and education. She has presided over many local organizations including The Larchmont/Mamaroneck Local Summit, The Woman’s Club of Larchmont, and The Larchmont-Mamaroneck Interfaith Council. She now heads a weekly current events program at The Osborne where she was Director of Social Work.
“Mary Lee is an indispensable asset to our entire community,” said Janet O’Connell, At Home on the Sound Gala Chairperson. “She has been a supporter, volunteer, member, and advocate of At Home on the Sound since our inception. She plays a vital role for many other local and national groups as well. We are so proud to honor her and recognize her myriad contributions to our area.”
“Celebrating Community Spirit” is the theme of this year’s Gala which will include a cocktail hour, silent auction, and dinner. There will also be a tribute to out-going At Home on the Sound President, Lynn Reichgott, who has led the Board since 2009. Tickets are $125 per person.
