Some Westchester school districts well north of us opened on delayed schedules because of icy roads as temperatures remain below freezing.
This week’s weather is expected to change drastically over the next few days. Until then, be careful out there.
“Any ice that has been out there, it’s had no chance whatsoever to melt,” said Carl Babinski, a meteorologist for AccuWeather. “Even the salting and sanding, all the efforts … you really need, obviously, is for temperatures to at least get to 30. We’re going to probably fall just short.”
