If the Town of Mamaroneck and the Town of Rye were to merge to form the combined “Town of Sound Shore” the merger would generate several benefits. It would consolidate a level of government, leading to greater efficiencies. It also would provide the residents of the Town of Mamaroneck a more tangible benefit – better public beach access than they now have. Now, that’s a pretty picture!
Such a tantalizing idea. what do others think?
Add the City of Rye to make the City of the Sound Shore. Merge the SDs too, eliminating the need to conduct national searches to send a MUFSD Superintendent to NJ and RSD to import one from there.
