Just a few months ago, Cheerio was living on death row in an overcrowded city animal shelter, facing the same sad fate as so many other homeless cats and dogs. Cheerio, though, got his life back when he was rescued from that shelter and brought to the New Rochelle Humane Society.
The handsome tabby likes people, other cats and even dogs and would make a great addition to any cat-loving household.
But having been at the Humane Society longer than many, Cheerio is now a designated member of the shelter’s “Lonely Hearts” club. That means Cheerio’s adoption fee is just $45, half the usual $90. That money goes a long way; Cheerio is already neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV & Felv & microchipped. His adoption also includes a carrier, bag of Science Diet cat food, collar & ID tags.
The New Rochelle Humane Society is located at 70 Portman Road in New Rochelle. Call 632-2925 or visit its website.
