Do your Holiday shopping and do good. This year all proceeds will be used to buy back medical debt at pennies on the dollar — and forgive it, forever. Medical debt has destroyed the financial stability of large segments of America’s most vulnerable communities: the sick, the elderly, the poor, and veterans. This is your chance to make a difference.

***2019 Winning Program in Westchester Magazine‘s Best of Westchester ballot for Unique Outdoor Hike***

Before the hectic holiday season, take an hour to relax and rejuvenate in this nature-connection program.

Research shows that being in nature decreases stress, reduces blood pressure, boosts the immune system, improves cognitive function, and provides an elevated sense of well-being.

Mindfulness practices allow us to hit pause on our hectic lives, helping us to navigate life in a calmer way. Just wear weather-appropriate clothing; we provide warm blankets, foam seat cushions, and hot seasonal teas for our time together in the forest.

Cancellation policy: Programs proceed in varying weather and are only canceled or postponed in the case of extreme conditions, including thunder. In the event of a canceled event, Sheldrake will offer either a makeup date or a refund. Refunds will not be granted for missed sessions.

Register in advance to secure your spot; space is limited.

Holiday Crafting from Nature for Families @ Sheldrake Environmental Center | | |

Join us for our nature-inspired craft-making program. Children aged 2–12 and their grownups are invited to learn, create, and, most importantly, have fun together.

We’re feeling winter approaching and will be focusing on two creatures that stay active with us throughout the season. The owl and squirrel are incredible survivors of the cold months. Let’s celebrate them with some stories, crafts, a walk (weather permitting), and some games. Build your own owl or squirrel using objects from nature that we collect. For younger crafters, there will be a holiday clementine and clove craft. We’ll also serve a toasty winter treat to warm us all up.

Come to Sheldrake for some cozy winter fun!
