The American Friends of Cecily’s Fund & Breda Leahy of Brigit: Ethereal Objects to Wear, Treasure & Give of Mamaroneck will host a special evening in Benefit of Cecily’s Fund which finances the education costs of 10,000 Zambian orphans and vulnerable children each year.
The first ever “Brigit Cares Benefit” will be held on June 16th from 7-9 pm at Brigit: Ethereal Objects to Wear, Treasure & Give Boutique in Mamaroneck.
The American Friends of Cecily Fund, Development Director Sue Skaf will give a brief presentation on Cecily’s Fund work and her recent experiences in Zambia. Cecily Fund also finances a teacher-training college program for volunteers and Cecily Fund alumni instructing them on Preventative Health Education for teenage school students. In addition they fund a lunch program feeding more than 700 elementary school children every year.
Breda Leahy, proprietor of Brigit will donate 30% of the purchase proceeds that evening directly to Cecily’s Fund. Appetizers, wine and desserts will be served and a raffle will also be held to raise funds for Cecily’s Fund.
